Tractor Tire Checklist

Tractor Tire List

Your work has already begun for the harvest season.

Be sure to perform these simple maintenance checks on your tires to make sure you’re ready for the hard work ahead.

It is important to check all of your tires when preparing your equipment.

This tractor tire checklist helps you spot potential problems before they hit the field.

Check tire pressure.

Use a high quality digital gauge to adjust inflation to the correct tire pressure.

Use tire manufacturer’s charts and pricing.

If the tire is inflated, you will lose traction in the field. If the tire is under-inflated, you can damage the tire.

CHECK THE TIRE PARANS.

Make sure there are no large cuts or exposed cords.

If you see significant damage, that is a good sign that you need to replace the tires.

Review the steps.

Inspect the tread for damage from weeds and cuts, and ensure that the depth of the tread is at least 20%.

If there is any damage or the tread depth has decreased, it is time to replace the tires.

Check the valve stem.

Make sure the valve thread is tight.

Most of the time, the valve or stem is loose and this will cause the tire to fail.

SCREWS, BOLTS AND THE SUCH THINGS.

Make sure all the bolts are tightened properly and check that the wheels are in the correct position.

If you find that your farm tires are damaged, don’t wait to replace them.

Call alrashed tires for 24 hour tire replacement service.
